Keratin and color-treated hair needs special care to keep hair looking healthy. This means no salts and no sulfates.
Most shampoos, especially ones found at the drugstore, contain salts and sulfates. Sulfates are harsh detergents that clean your hair but also strip the hair of its natural oils. Salts (often listed as “sodium chloride”) are often added to thicken consistency. These cheap ingredients dehydrate your hair and scalp. This leads to frizz, lacklusterness, itchy scalp, and hair loss in some cases.
